Acceptable Use Policy
Effective Date: July 1, 2026 Last Updated: July 1, 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to all use of Traction (the "Service") and is incorporated into our Terms of Service. It exists to keep Traction trustworthy — both as a tool you rely on and as a publisher on platforms that have their own rules we need to respect.
1. Prohibited Content
You may not use Traction to generate or publish content that:
- Is illegal, or that promotes or facilitates illegal activity
- Is defamatory, harassing, threatening, or abusive toward any person or group
- Is hateful or discriminatory on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristic
- Sexually exploits or endangers minors in any way
- Infringes another party's intellectual property, privacy, or other legal rights
- Is intentionally false or misleading in a way designed to deceive (e.g., impersonating another real person or organization, coordinated disinformation)
- Contains malware or is designed to compromise the security of any system
2. Prohibited Conduct
You may not:
- Use Traction to run spam, bulk unsolicited messaging, or engagement manipulation (e.g., fake likes, follows, or comments) on any connected platform
- Circumvent, or attempt to circumvent, the rate limits, posting caps, or technical restrictions of any connected platform or of Traction itself
- Share your account credentials with unauthorized users, or access another user's account without permission
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code or underlying models of the Service, except where applicable law permits
- Use automated means (scraping, bots) to access the Service outside of its intended interface or published API
- Resell or provide the Service to third parties as your own product without our written permission
- Use the Service in any way that violates the terms of service, community guidelines, or API policies of a connected platform (X, LinkedIn, Threads, Instagram, Facebook, Bluesky, or any platform we add support for)
3. Your Responsibility on Connected Platforms
Traction helps you draft and publish content, but each connected platform's own rules still apply to you as the account holder. You're responsible for:
- Reviewing AI-generated drafts before publishing
- Ensuring published content complies with the platform's terms and community standards
- Any consequences a platform imposes on your account as a result of content you chose to publish (e.g., suspension, shadow-banning, content removal)
4. Enforcement
If we determine, in our reasonable judgment, that you've violated this AUP, we may:
- Remove or block the offending content where technically possible
- Suspend your ability to publish to one or more connected platforms
- Suspend or terminate your account
Where practical, we'll attempt to notify you and give you an opportunity to correct the issue before taking action, except in cases of severe or repeated violations, or where immediate action is necessary to prevent harm.
5. Reporting Violations
If you believe content generated or published through Traction violates this policy, contact us at hello@gotraction.ai with details, and we'll investigate.
