This Privacy Policy explains how Engendr, LLC ("Traction," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use gotraction.ai and our related services (the "Service").
1. Information We Collect
Account Information. Name, email address, password (handled via our authentication provider, Clerk), and billing information (handled by our payment processor — we do not store full card numbers ourselves).
Content You Provide. Writing samples, drafts, prompts, and other content you input into Traction so we can help generate and publish content in your voice.
Connected Platform Data. When you connect a social account (X, LinkedIn, Threads, Instagram, Facebook, Bluesky, or others), we receive limited data via that platform's official API and OAuth authorization — such as account identifiers and access tokens needed to publish on your behalf, and, where applicable, basic engagement metrics you request us to display to you. We only request the permissions necessary for the features you use.
Usage Data. Information about how you interact with the Service — pages visited, features used, generation and publishing activity, device and browser information, and IP address.

2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including generating content drafts and publishing to platforms you've connected
- Process payments and manage your subscription
- Authenticate your account and keep it secure
- Respond to support requests and communicate with you about the Service
- Monitor, analyze, and improve the Service's performance and reliability
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell Your Content or use it to train AI models for the benefit of other customers.
3. AI Processing
To generate draft content, portions of Your Content (such as writing samples and prompts) are sent to AI model providers we've contracted with to process requests and return generated text. These providers act as our data processors under contractual terms restricting their use of your data to providing the service to us, and do not use your data to train their own models except where you separately opt in to a provider's terms.
4. Third-Party Service Providers
We use the following categories of service providers (sub-processors) to operate Traction. We may update this list as our vendors change:

5. Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only:
- With the service providers listed above, as needed to operate the Service
- With connected social platforms, limited to what's needed to publish content you've approved
- If required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Traction, our users, or others
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy or a materially similar one
6. Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember preferences, and understand how the Service is used (analytics). You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect Service functionality. We do not use cookies for third-party advertising.
7. Data Retention
We retain your account information and Your Content for as long as your account is active. If your account is cancelled or moves to a limited/inactive state, we retain data for a reasonable period in case you reactivate, after which it may be deleted or anonymized, except where we're required to retain it longer for legal or accounting purposes.
8. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access, correct, or delete your personal information
- Export your data
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
- Disconnect any connected social platform at any time in account settings

9. Data Security
We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures (encryption in transit, access controls, and secure infrastructure providers) to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn we've collected such information, we will delete it.
11. International Data Transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for international transfers.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll post the updated version with a new "Last Updated" date and provide reasonable notice of material changes.
